Never leave candles unattended.
Never leave candles to burn to the base of the glass, extreme heat can cause the glass to crack or shatter, always extinguish the candle once there is 1cm of wax left in the base of the jar.
As a rule of thumb, candles should not be allowed to burn for longer than four hours at a time.
Ensure candles are not placed near flammable items.
To prevent tunneling ensure an even layer of wax is melted on the surface of the candle before extinguishing the flame.
