Upcycling Candle Jars into Stunning Christmas Decorations: Get Inspired!

Welcome to our first iteration of our recycling themed blog posts!

In these posts, we'll help show some ideas, from the simple storage ideas to the DIY decorations, for ways in which you can reuse your candle jars once the candle is all gone!

Ideas for Recycling or Reusing

The simplest thing you can do is to recycle your glass jars directly, by placing them inside your recycling bin. This glass then gets sorted at recycling facilities and distributed for re-use amongst businesses. But, that isn't why you are here, nor is it why we write these posts!

Make sure you clean your jars out properly, and remove any leftover wax or residue before recycling them.

So without further adieu, here are our top suggestions for the Christmas season!

A Hot Chocolate Station

As the weather grows colder in November and December, like us, you may be making more hot chocolates for the little ones whilst you all huddle up on the sofa watching Christmas movies. You might even be making them for yourselves as a little late night indulgence (we won't judge, just don't tell the kids!)

So, why not reuse your jars to create your own cute kitchen side hot chocolate station, it's simple to do.

All you need to achieve this is a variety of jars, cleaned out and filled with your favourite hot chocolate powder and toppings! We used 3 of our small jars for the hot chocolate ingredients. They're cute and fun sized and easy to handle for smaller children who just love to help!

You can add whatever decoration you like, we sat ours on top of a slate serving tray with copper handles. We even re-used one of our large jars to hold candy canes, which go great as an extra treat for your hot chocolates during the Christmas build up!

A Christmas Themed Centrepiece

If you are anything like us, decorating your dining table for Christmas is just as important as the rest of your house is. It's where the family will all come together to enjoy the festivities, indulge in a fantastic feast and share a wonderful time together. So it is right that it deserves a good dressing up!

We kept ours simple, but you can really unleash your creativity here! We simply popped a fake plant, with berries and pine cones inside one of our large 3-wick bowls. We also wrapped it in battery operated string lights (you can find small ones on Amazon) and gave it a nice mirror to sit on.

Pot Pourri!

Pot Pourri makes a great decorative item for your home, it comes in a variety of scents and colours, almost as many as we have available for your custom candle creations. It smells nice, adds a little colour to your home and doesn't require any burning or extra care.

We added some fake snow to one of our 3-wick large bowls and spent a little time hand drawing shapes into it! You can make this much simpler using a stencil or stickers and then simply peel them off to leave the shape in the snow.

If you're feeling creative, pop another smaller jar or tealight holder in the centre of the pot pourri and you've got yourself an interesting little candle holder as well.

We hope you liked our little ideas for this holiday season, feel free to share your own ideas with us on our social media channels and we might feature them on our website!

Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays to all of our wonderful customers from us!
